Manatee Max is just a couple of regular folks with an idea. My wife is the sole proprietor and I'm the "employee." Our son sometimes processes orders when he's not busy with whatever it is 19 year olds do these days. Max has been in the same house on the Chapman School of Seamanship campus in Port Salerno, Florida for about 16 years now. We have a little canal in the back yard and we get to look at all the pretty boats at Mack Yacht Services. It's home. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Max doesn't have a brick and mortar storefront. Maybe... one day. But for now, having the office at the house helps to keep overhead down and prices low.

Max got his start about four years ago. Pearl Manatee, as Mama's called around here, is pretty good at eCommerce. She decided to stop making money for someone else and start her own business. We took her eCommerce acumen  and combined it with our love of being on the water, and..... We've been here ever since, taking our time and slowly building satisfied return customers. We didn't have the advantage of a huge bankroll to get started. So, most of Max's advertising is word of mouth. We depend on a good reputation. Max is a drop ship operation. We source our products from over a dozen warehouses across the United States. This allows us to price shop and find the closest warehouse to your location, which results in very fast shipping times in most cases.

Max's goal is to provide high quality goods and services at a fair price. You can buy cheaper, But Max will bend over backward (as far as a manatee can) to make sure your experience is worth the extra dollar. We answer customer questions to the best of our ability to make sure our customers get exactly what they want the first time. And we try to make returns quick and easy when they're necessary.

Max carries around 20,000 products+/- from about 200 brands you know and trust. If you don't see what you're looking for, send us an email and we'll help you find it. We've also been trying to expand our inventory into a wider variety of goods, but it isn't easy finding vendors who are up to Max's standards. We refuse to sell junk or do business with those who don't care about our customers' satisfaction.
