Protect your accounts from identity fraud

Folks, I have no idea what's going on over at eBay and PayPal right now, but it ain't good.
Max is friends with a few other eBay sellers and is a member of an eBay Sellers Group as well. We have all noticed a steep increase in fraudulent eBay orders using PayPal. A good article on how this works is here:

It's not just your hard earned money when your account get hacked. Triangulation fraud hurts us all. It makes the cost of doing business increase for everyone involved, even those whose identities remain secure.
Here are some steps you can take to protect yourself:
The most important step is to make a habit out of checking you bank, credit card and PayPal activities every day and report any suspicious activities immediately.
I know this ones a real pain, but change your passwords frequently.
Initiate 2 step verification: This one's also a pain, but having eBay and PayPal send a verification code to your phone in order to sigh in is far better than discovering too late that someone's bought a $1,200 bilge pump with your money, when you don't even have a boat.
Max hates that we live in a world where all this is necessary. When you order on ManateeMax.com, your information has to jump through 3 verification hurtles before Max even sees the order. We're catching these crooks and stopping them before they charge your card. If Max can do it, I don't see any reason why two large and [should be] trusted names like eBay and PayPal can't do the same.
Take steps to protect yourself and lets make this as hard as we can on these wannabe politicians, er, I mean crooks.
