I took a little time out today to test some of the fishing gear we sell. I Borrowed Bill's boat, and took it out down past gullwhopper's slough, you know?  'Cross and east a league from where that bait, tackle, gas, barbecue and hair salon place was, where Uncle Rob tried to catch his stump jumper on fire that time, looking into the gas tank with his daddy's Zippo. 

Well, I got out there, then spent 'bout forty-five [¡Olé!] minutes trying to figure out how to hold a rod and reel without opposable thumbs, but a manatee can be pretty ingenious when he wants to. (I used the same method I use for opening beer.) So, anyway... I dropped the anchor, opened a cold one, and cast out a couple times in the weeds.  All'o'th'sudden, POW! I thought he was gonna pull me into the creek. Then the line went slack and I thought I lost him. And then he took off again... Man, that was fun.

I'm gonna cut this post short.  I'm fixin' to run to the Winn Dixie for some Old Bay seasoning, a couple lemons and more beer.
